Like many other online bingo sites at the moment, Costa Bingo is back on their air and is running their “free bingo” adverts all this autumn. This move is obviously being made as a results of the success the bingo site enjoyed using the same creative in fall 2012.
There certainly are exciting times to come for Costa Bingo. They have teamed up with creative advertising agency MWO and have put a £4 million budget behind the campaign. The plan is that the new CGI ads will run until the year’s end, before a new campaign starts in time for January 2014.
Their ‘free bingo’ creative reflect on the revolutionary free bingo games which Costa helped to pioneer soon after the brand launched in 2009. This seems like a normality now, but at the time, Costa Bingo were the first and only to offer free bingo games, with the chance to win cash prizes. These games were made available to players 24 hours a day.
The new creative for the autumn campaign are just being finalised in order to continue the existing momentum of the “free bingo” adverts and continue to push their brand awareness in the increasingly competitive online bingo industry. The shoot for autumn has already been scheduled, with locations both in the UK and overseas, coming with the tagline “Sunny is planning a holiday”.
Dragonfish and BGO
Operating on the major Dragonfish network, the well-established bingo brand runs under the BGO portfolio of bingo brands, which also includes Sing Bingo, Fancy Bingo and City Bingo.
Chief Marketing Officer of BGO, Christian Colton, commented on the direction Costa is moving in –““We are confident that the direction planned for Costa Bingo will assert its position on the online bingo leader board. Right now, it is important to maintain an on-screen presence for the brand as research shows that players are back from their summer holidays and returning to online gaming”.
The ten second Costa Bingo adverts are scheduled to run at primetime slots on ITV1 and various digital channels. The upbeat and positive advert aims to being a laugh and some sun into living rooms across the nation as the nights become longer.
It would be surprising if Costa neglected to include their new Cashino offering in the advertising campaign. They have added a section of their site, dedicated to instants and casino games.
